For business owners, salt early and often. Bring snow crews in early to push snow off of sidewalks and parking lots and then salt generously.

Take a minute to prepare mentally before you go outside on slippery pavement. Change shoes to slip resistant footwear. Stay low and be prepared to fall. If you need to carry a large or bulky item go get your car first and drive back to the entrance to load your items.
